Transforming a Drab Elevator into a Scenic Escape with Panoramic Wall Graphics

Elevator rides are often mundane, but what if they could feel like a journey through nature? That’s exactly what we achieved in one of our most rewarding projects—transforming an ordinary elevator into an extraordinary experience.

Using panoramic elevator wall graphics, we wrapped the interior walls of the elevator with a breathtaking view of Emerald Lake, one of Alberta’s most iconic and picturesque destinations. This stunning visual creates an immersive 3D effect, making residents feel as though they’re surrounded by nature on every ride. Beyond its beauty, the graphic adds a sense of warmth and charm to the newly renovated building, making it feel even more welcoming.

This elevator wall graphics project came together seamlessly thanks to careful planning and our commitment to quality. From selecting the perfect image to ensuring flawless installation, every detail was handled with care to create a lasting impact.

At Arttec Signs, we believe design has the power to transform spaces and enhance everyday experiences. We’re proud to have brought this vision to life and look forward to creating more spaces that inspire and delight.

Transforming Spaces with Indigenous-Inspired Wall Graphics

We recently had the opportunity to design and produce vibrant wall graphics for the  Indigenous Student Centre.

Home Away from Home

The Indigenous Knowledge and Research Centre (IKRC) was established in 2018 to provide Indigenous students with a home away from home where they may interact, share, look for assistance, and give back to the community.

Indigenous Student Centre Project Details

This project came together quickly, but we ensured the quality and impact were top-notch. The graphics add a warm and welcoming touch to the Indigenous Student Centre at Concordia University, enhancing its role as a supportive space for Indigenous students.

The Concordia Indigenous Student Centre provides educational and spiritual support, organizes community events, and helps students with scholarships and bursaries.

We wanted our designs to reflect the diversity of Indigenous cultures, making the space feel inspiring and culturally resonant.

The feedback has been fantastic, and we’re proud to have contributed to a space that supports students’ well-being.

At Arttec Signs, we know that thoughtful design can transform spaces, and we’re thrilled with how this project turned out.

Who says Industrial structures have to look so… Industrial?

The Strathcona Industrial Association hired us to wrap their industrial looking Air Quality Trailer with a creative touch of nature. This is a great way to turn an industrial building from Sterile to Striking.

To see this beautiful addition to our landscape go to Sherwood Park Ottewell Centre.

In the fast-evolving landscape of visual communication, window signage stands as a beacon of innovation. As we step into 2024, we here art Arttec Signs are noticing that businesses starting to embrace the pivotal role played by window graphics in shaping their brand’s identity and enhancing the local visibility of their business. Let’s dive into the upcoming trends that are set to redefine the window signage experience.

Materials Revolution

Advanced Materials: Beyond the Basics

At Arttec, we love experimenting and working on creative projects. The future of window graphics is intricately tied to the materials we use. Advanced polymers, nano-coatings, and other cutting-edge materials are taking center stage. These materials not only elevate the aesthetics of window signage but also contribute to increased durability and environmental sustainability. Embracing these materials ensures that your business doesn’t just communicate visually but also makes a statement about responsible practices.

Sustainable Choices for Modern Businesses

In an era where eco-consciousness is paramount, businesses are opting for sustainable materials in their window graphics. From recyclable polymers to energy-efficient coatings, these choices not only align with the brand’s values but also resonate with environmentally conscious consumers. We explore the impact of such choices on both design possibilities and consumer perception.

Impact of Material Innovation on Aesthetics and Durability

The marriage of innovation and aesthetics is a defining characteristic of 2024’s window graphics. We uncover how these advanced materials open new doors for designers, allowing them to create intricate patterns and textures that were once deemed impossible. Simultaneously, the durability factor ensures that the visual appeal is sustained over time, making it a worthwhile investment for businesses looking for a long-lasting visual impact.

The Problem with Winter: Difficulties in Installing Window Graphics

While the allure of window graphics remains undeniable, the winter season, especially here in western Canada, introduces a set of challenges for businesses aiming to enhance their visual presence. Low temperatures, frosty surfaces, and unpredictable weather conditions can throw hurdles in our installation process of window graphics.

Advancements in Cold-Weather Installation Products

In the quest to overcome winter installation challenges, the industry has witnessed remarkable advancements in materials and products designed specifically for cold weather. Our vendors have developed innovative product solutions that address issues like adhesion difficulties, material brittleness, and the overall impact of sub-zero temperatures on the installation process.

Offering Solutions: Installing Window Graphics in Extreme Conditions

As leaders in this industry, the team at Arttec recognizes the importance of providing solutions that go beyond the standard installation parameters. Our commitment to excellence extends to all seasons, including winter. We proudly offer products engineered to withstand temperatures as low as -15 degrees Celsius, ensuring that your window graphics not only survive but thrive in even the harshest winter conditions. The latest addition to West Edmonton Mall’s Galaxyland, North America’s largest indoor amusement park, is the brand new GI Joe attraction, and Arttec Signs is thrilled to be a part of this exciting project. As a leading provider of custom signs and murals, Arttec Signs has brought its expertise to the creation of some amazing murals with 3D pop-outs that will transport visitors straight into the world of GI Joe.

The new GI Joe attraction at Galaxyland is the perfect example of how art and technology can come together to create an immersive and exciting experience. Arttec Signs has worked closely with West Edmonton Mall to create stunning murals that not only look great but also bring the GI Joe world to life. From the moment visitors step into the attraction, they’ll be surrounded by bold colors, intricate details, and high-tech designs that are synonymous with the GI Joe brand.

Two walls, totaling almost 43 feet in length by 11 feet high, and an Operator’s desk are covered in pre-printed aluminum composite panels, perfectly matched and installed by our team like a giant GI Joe Puzzle.

One of the most impressive aspects of Arttec Signs’ work on the GI Joe attraction is the use of 3D pop-outs. These pop-outs are the characters, that have been raised off the surface of the wall to create a sense of depth and dimensionality. This not only makes the mural look more impressive but also allows visitors the opportunity to experience something that is not only visually stunning but also engaging and fun for all ages.

Overall, the new GI Joe attraction at Galaxyland is sure to be a hit with fans of the brand and anyone looking for an immersive and exciting experience. If you’re looking to create a similar experience, let us bring your vision to life – contact us today!
