Arttec Signs is honoured to have helped bring the Steadward Legacy Exhibit to life at the Saville Community Sports Centre, celebrating the extraordinary life and impact of Dr. Bob Steadward. This exhibit was designed by local renowned artist, Wei Yew. You can view more of the inspiration and behind the scenes of the exhibit HERE. Installed ahead of the Olympic Games, this permanent display serves as both a tribute and an educational experience, recognizing a man whose work helped shape the global Paralympic movement.

Dr. Steadward’s legacy is deeply woven into sport, education, and advocacy. As a founding president of the International Paralympic Committee and a longtime leader at the University of Alberta, his influence reaches far beyond medals and accolades. The exhibit captures this impact through a rich collection of artifacts, photography, and storytelling that traces his journey, from early involvement in adaptive sport to international leadership and lifelong dedication to inclusion.

Arttec collaborated closely with the project team to fabricate and install the Steadward Paralympic Journey display, a visually striking, museum-quality installation located on the second floor of the Saville Centre. The exhibit features custom wall graphics, large-format photo collages, interpretive panels, and display case graphics that bring together decades of achievements, milestones, and personal moments. Every element was designed to balance clarity, durability, and respect for the historical significance of the material.

From medals and honours to archival imagery and personal memorabilia, the display invites visitors to pause, reflect, and better understand the foundations of Paralympic sport in Canada and around the world. The layered storytelling approach allows the exhibit to resonate with athletes, students, and community members alike, connecting past achievements to ongoing progress in accessibility and inclusion.

It was a privilege for our team to contribute to a project of this significance and to help preserve Dr. Steadward’s story in a space dedicated to sport, community, and movement. The Steadward Legacy Exhibit stands as a lasting reminder of what vision, advocacy, and collaboration can achieve.

Arttec Signs is proud to have completed work on a major new exhibition at the Royal Alberta Museum. Stories of Us: Building Alberta’s Collection explores how Alberta’s history is gathered, interpreted, and shared, inviting visitors to reflect not just on artifacts, but on the stories and choices behind them.

This thoughtfully designed exhibition challenges visitors to consider what is collected, what is overlooked, and why those decisions matter. Through a mix of large-scale wall murals, interpretive graphics, and carefully integrated visual elements, the gallery encourages curiosity and reflection while guiding visitors through the space in a clear, cohesive way.

Arttec supported the exhibition with custom environmental graphics that complement the museum’s curatorial vision. From bold yet restrained wall graphics to clean, readable interpretive panels, every element was designed to enhance storytelling without distracting from the artifacts themselves. The result is a modern, visually engaging environment that supports the exhibition’s themes while maintaining a timeless museum aesthetic.

Projects like Stories of Us highlight the collaborative nature of museum exhibitions. From curators and designers to fabricators and installers, every detail matters. Our team worked closely with the Royal Alberta Museum to ensure precision, durability, and visual clarity, meeting the high standards required for a permanent public institution while respecting the sensitivity of the subject matter.

We’re honoured to see this work featured beyond the museum walls as well. The exhibition, and the process behind it, was recently highlighted in a feature by CBC News, offering a behind-the-scenes look at how Alberta’s stories are thoughtfully collected and presented for future generations.

If you’re curious to learn more about the exhibit and the ideas behind it, we encourage you to watch the CBC News video feature and experience Stories of Us: Building Alberta’s Collection through the lens of those who helped bring it to life.

A Fresh Look for Multicook Edmonton’s Handmade Ukrainian Foods

When Volodymyr Kostyuchenko and his family arrived in Edmonton after leaving their home in Western Ukraine, one thing stood out right away, nothing they tasted truly captured the flavours of the food they grew up with. The warm, homemade dishes… the traditional recipes… the comfort meals made from scratch.

So they decided to bring that missing piece of home here.

Where Tradition Meets Canada’s Best Ingredients

Located in Edmonton’s West End, Multicook Edmonton specializes in handmade frozen meals, prepared on-site using traditional Ukrainian recipes, but made with fresh Canadian ingredients and Alberta-raised meats.

From perogies to cabbage rolls, to hearty soups just like back home, every dish is crafted with care, authenticity, and family pride. This isn’t mass production. This is real food made by real people, sharing their culture through every bite.

A Storefront That Needed to Tell Their Story

Multicook connected with our team at Arttec Signs, and they knew exactly what they wanted:
A storefront that felt welcoming, authentic, and unmistakably Ukrainian.

We made sure their customers could instantly understand what Multicook Edmonton offers, handmade frozen meals, crafted with tradition, available right in the neighbourhood.

And that’s where our design and production team stepped in.

Window Graphics Built to Inspire Hunger

To bring their identity to life, Arttec Signs installed a combination of:

  • Full-colour window vinyl
  • Cut vinyl graphics featuring food illustrations
  • Bold branding such as “HANDMADE FROZEN FOOD,” “THE BEST OF UKRAINIAN CUISINE,” and product-specific visuals like perogies, cabbage rolls, and soups
  • A clean, professional layout that makes the storefront stand out in a busy retail strip

Ukrainian Multicook Edmonton Food Store

These graphics don’t just make the shop look great, they work. Clear, high-visibility signage helps customers immediately recognize what Multicook offers and encourages foot traffic.

And yes, just like our popular vinyl wraps in Alberta, these window graphics are weather-resistant, durable, and built for long-term visibility.

Showcasing Culture, Community, and Craft

What makes this project special is the heart behind it. Multicook Edmonton isn’t just another frozen food store, it’s a family rebuilding their life, sharing the flavours of home, and creating something new for the Edmonton community.

Our job was to design signage that honours that story.
And we’re proud of how it turned out.

Transforming a Drab Elevator into a Scenic Escape with Panoramic Wall Graphics

Elevator rides are often mundane, but what if they could feel like a journey through nature? That’s exactly what we achieved in one of our most rewarding projects—transforming an ordinary elevator into an extraordinary experience.

Using panoramic elevator wall graphics, we wrapped the interior walls of the elevator with a breathtaking view of Emerald Lake, one of Alberta’s most iconic and picturesque destinations. This stunning visual creates an immersive 3D effect, making residents feel as though they’re surrounded by nature on every ride. Beyond its beauty, the graphic adds a sense of warmth and charm to the newly renovated building, making it feel even more welcoming.

This elevator wall graphics project came together seamlessly thanks to careful planning and our commitment to quality. From selecting the perfect image to ensuring flawless installation, every detail was handled with care to create a lasting impact.

At Arttec Signs, we believe design has the power to transform spaces and enhance everyday experiences. We’re proud to have brought this vision to life and look forward to creating more spaces that inspire and delight.

Transforming Spaces with Indigenous-Inspired Wall Graphics

We recently had the opportunity to design and produce vibrant wall graphics for the  Indigenous Student Centre.

Home Away from Home

The Indigenous Knowledge and Research Centre (IKRC) was established in 2018 to provide Indigenous students with a home away from home where they may interact, share, look for assistance, and give back to the community.

Indigenous Student Centre Project Details

This project came together quickly, but we ensured the quality and impact were top-notch. The graphics add a warm and welcoming touch to the Indigenous Student Centre at Concordia University, enhancing its role as a supportive space for Indigenous students.

The Concordia Indigenous Student Centre provides educational and spiritual support, organizes community events, and helps students with scholarships and bursaries.

We wanted our designs to reflect the diversity of Indigenous cultures, making the space feel inspiring and culturally resonant.

The feedback has been fantastic, and we’re proud to have contributed to a space that supports students’ well-being.

At Arttec Signs, we know that thoughtful design can transform spaces, and we’re thrilled with how this project turned out.

Who says Industrial structures have to look so… Industrial?

The Strathcona Industrial Association hired us to wrap their industrial looking Air Quality Trailer with a creative touch of nature. This is a great way to turn an industrial building from Sterile to Striking.

To see this beautiful addition to our landscape go to Sherwood Park Ottewell Centre.
