Rice Howard Way Alley of Light

What started as an installation of 10 backlit boxes to display artwork on rotation has grown to be something much larger and extraordinary.

The Works, The Places, the Edmonton Downtown Business Association, and corporate partners launched this public art initiative in September 2022. The Alley of light is an art installation of several murals and backlit boxes featuring artwork for some very talented artists including local artists Tessa Stamp, GABS, Sokaris Studio, Vignettes and The Works.

This installation is part of This year’s Edmonton Downtown Holiday Light Up. We will officially be lighting up Rice Howard way on Saturday, December 3, 2022! From 3 – 8pm there will be a host of events including great music, a Christmas market, donuts, maple taffy and more.

Whether you are living or working in or around downtown Edmonton, this stunning attraction is a highlight and worth a visit. Arttec Signs is very proud to have partnered with some spectacular companies to help this vision come to reality.

You can find the Rice Howard Way Alley of Light in the alley between the McLeod Building and Craft Beer Market and continuing in the alley between the Canada Permanent Building, College Tower, and the Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR) Building, located in the heart of Edmonton, Alberta.
